Upcoming product launches

The products the Group expects to launch going forward

are the following:

New TV product family

Towards the end of the 2009 calendar year, Bang & Olufsen

expects to present a new TV product family with a builtin

wall mount allowing for a range of placement options

because it allows viewers to turn the screen for direct

viewing from different angles. The TV family comes with a

built-in stereo speaker and digital surround sound module

and with an option for DVB HD (Full HD).

55” BeoVision 7 model

Bang & Olufsen has also come quite far in the development

of a whole new model within the BeoVision 7 concept.

This will be a 55” version with Full HD based on, among

other things, 100/120 Hz technology. Its functions include

built-in LED light, which enhances contrast, superb sound

quality with a built-in digital surround sound module and

integrated Adaptive Sound Technology. This TV model will

also have a built-in DVB HD (Full HD) module as well as an

optional Blu-ray player.

New audio product

Also currently under development is a new audio product

for playing digitally stored music in a user-friendly plug ‘n

play solution. The user can connect an iPod to this product,

which can also connect to a BeoSound 5 system

New products for the acoustics portfolio

A new subwoofer will be added to the speaker portfolio.

One of its features will be a technology that eliminates

vibrations. The subwoofer has a tulip-shaped design and

offers multiple placement options because it can be placed

on the floor or mounted on the wall.

New telephone

Bang & Olufsen telephones have been a success for many

years, but under the Group’s Strategy Plan, Management

does not expect to initiate development projects in this

product category. The Group is currently developing its final

concept for fixed-line telephony; a telephone with a speaker

for hands-free conversation and conference calls. Among its

other functions, this concept also allows the user to select

full-graphic display colours.

BeoTime

Bang & Olufsen is developing a watch that will form part of

the Group’s series of gift items. Management believes that

the design differentiates from everything else on the market

in this segment. The watch can also be used to remote

control other Bang & Olufsen products and among its

features is a built-in movement sensor that allows the builtin

display to be reversed for left-handed operation.
