I live in Cologne, Germany - but we still got a flat in London as well ... but if it's not an easy plug-n-play I probably would not go through the trouble of "upgrading" from the 7000 to the 8000

I have an 8000 type motor which I would willingly swap for a 4 pin type. Is it worth it for you?

Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series

I live in Cologne, Germany - but we still got a flat in London as well ... but if it's not an easy plug-n-play I probably would not go through the trouble of "upgrading" from the 7000 to the 8000

Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series

rayfenwick:

Physically will fit but the motors are different electrically.

The 7000 DIN plug has 4 pins and the 8000 DIN plug has 5 pins.

Am I right in thinking it should be an easy rewire?

The motors are quite different but I can't remember why. It is not a simple re-wire. That has been proposed before and discounted.

Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series

mor:

Thanks for your quick reply Graham.

Is there any adapter or would the motorized stand simply be useless for the 8000?

It is only the motors that are different, the stand itself is identical.

Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series

joeyboygolf:

Thanks for any reply!
