yes, a lot of people think the CX100 drivers are 4 inch, but in fact they are slightly less in diameter, and are Foster 10cm jobs ( or 100mm ) as shown on the website

the VAS on model 434126 is 2.2L

the VAS on model 434127 is 3.2L

which ones do you have Liam ??

Although it will require some digging, I believe I'm onto something! I'll be measuring the exact thiele-small over the next few days though

If these turn out to be a match then we have a replacement for our CX units that will almost certainly be cheaper than B&O supplied ones, and is hopefully not about to be discontinued - top work!

The only things keeping me from saying those are the ones, are

glass fiber cone (paper on my CX50's)
curved sides (straight on CX50)

But this could well be a good lead...

Gents,

I have it. In my typical undying relentlessness to find the answer...I called Denmark. Useless.

I then called SEAS in the US - apparently a manufacturer of B&Os drivers. Turned out the gent on the phone worked previously for B&O, and knew exactly what I was after...a company called Foster Electric. So, the only three people on the planet who knew what drivers they were : B&O's designers, the chap at SEAS, and me.

It is with that, in the true spirit of Open Source (I write this from Linux Mint)....

Yes, I tend to do that. Otherwise the VC rubs on the polepiece and your unit sounds terrible and eventually dies...

Sometimes I cheat and do it without, and just feel my way, but that is a much better way to do it.

I'm feeling for you with that attempt, but only the CX is right....

Although you can see the back of a Beo______ it's not a system...

It's a stinker, that's for sure... don't hold it against me anyone!

Well this is the best I could do:

Admittedly that's a CX50 not a CX100, but the drivers are the same. It doesn't say much other than the B&O part number I'm afraid....

As an aside, a mad quiz would be: there are 3 B&O items in that picture, and one "related". Can anyone name them? (shouldn't be that difficult...)

The table/floor/radiator don't count!
