If you have only connected it with the DVI-VGA cable, you will obviously not get the PC sound because the DVI interface does not transmit sound.

fschlagel:

I have a similar setup only thing is I have my BV7 masterlinked to the Ouverture which is connected to the Beolab 8000s. I am trying to get the PC sound to the Beolab 8000's - on the Beo4 remote I try AV...PC, to activate, but it doesn't seem to take. Have you tried anything similar.

regards

Re: Connect a PC to a BV7-40

I think the Ouverture does not detect the PC command, because it is too old.... Connect your BL 8000 to the BV7, set BV7 to V.OPT 2, Ouverture to A.OPT 0. Audio and Video must be masterlinked. In this way you will control all your devices via BV7 and you have PC sound on your BL 8000. Have fun...

Stefan

Re: Connect a PC to a BV7-40

I have a similar setup only thing is I have my BV7 masterlinked to the Ouverture which is connected to the Beolab 8000s. I am trying to get the PC sound to the Beolab 8000's - on the Beo4 remote I try AV...PC, to activate, but it doesn't seem to take. Have you tried anything similar.

regards

Re: Connect a PC to a BV7-40

godhed:

Hi

Is it correct, that in order to connect a PC (VGA) to a BV7-40 (DVI) I should use a DVI->VGA cable, and select "DVI-I" in the connection menu for AV4?

Thanks

Yes, you are right.
