The only 2 ways of cancelling the programs are to use the remote type which programmed them in the first place (which could be any of - MCP5500, MCP6500, Beolink 7000 or Beolink 5000) or remove the back up battery inside for 10 minutes.

The timer can be disabled without the original remote control though. In fact it can be done with no remote at all - just hold both buttons on the front of the receiver and it toggles between Timer On and Timer Off.

Clever, I didn't know that

Re: Beolink 1000 functionality with a Beomaster 6500

Many thanks tournedos & Alex!

Yes, BL1000 is enough for tuning and programming the presets. Use GOTO and then key in the frequency to tune into - the display turns to "F", and that's all the feedback you're going to get. You will need to key in the tenths as well, i.e 1040 is 104.0 MHz. Be patient until the BM actually tunes (there's a timeout).

Then, if you want to store the current frequency to a preset, press STORE <preset number> STORE and you're done.

h1npw:

I think I recall that one thing you can't do with a 1000 is set the timer function - is there anything else that can't be done with a 1000?

Yes - resetting the timer function! You will need to use the same remote that was used to create a timer to get rid of it. Another thing lacking will be the programmed play functions.

Is it possible to tune the Beomaster and then set the pre-set radio channels with a Beolink 1000 or do you need a MCP?
