Hi, I joined you because I got the same pb since the tel fell on the floor.

I can't get de tel opened, do you need a special tool? There are certainly some hidden clips, because after unscrewing the 2 under the battery ti doesn't move a damn. Can somebody give me hint?

Removed battery and reconnected but no different!!

Try taking the battery out of its socket. This has worked for me a couple of times..

But sometime you need to have the contact rubbers replaced..

When you open the Beocom 6000 you will find a white contact rubber for your display.

Most of the time that is the problem and when you replace it the change is 90% that it works again

Hi There,

All a bit new to me this forum stuff !

I have what I believe to be two beocom 6000 mk 1 and a becom 2 working via a PSTN base and all work fine. The LCD display on one of the Beocom 6000 doesn't work (the green type back light does) which is a bit of an issue when your trying to locate a number in the phone directory. Does anyone have any idea's what I need to fix this issue as my local dealer advises me to chuck away and start again!
