The cable arrived yesterday and everyhting is up and running, for the time being into my LS5500 using external speakers.

It sounds a lot better plugged into the back of my iPod dock than it does plugged directlty into the iPod, sio that is how I am using it. It means I have a listenable music system in a room that otherwise wouldn't have one.

Glad you've got it sorted! I've been trying to track down an LX2800 to test this out and find the answer, but you've beaten me to it! I have added a note to the product page for this cable, giving the remote commands for Beo4, Beolink 1000 and Beolink Video, including the combination for Beolink 1000 when used with an older TV such as the LX2800.

Hopefully, this will help any future users wanting to connect an iPod to their Beovision TV.

It will use the second used button to emit a special wanted signal.

For example. [TV] emits a command to activate TV, but [SHIFT] [TV] shall not send the command TV but [AUX].

Other example [SHIFT] [LINK] on my Beolink 1000 sends the command [LIGHT] that a newer remote can emit with one press. But it's still only one signal emitted.

Re: Can I activate the Aux1 socket on an LX2800 with a Beolink 1000?

Hi again guys. No Beo4, unfortunately. Just the Beolink 1000. I can't make it work though. According to the manual, to activate the aux 1 without a TV picture (which is what I want to do ideally) I just switch on the TV with the Aux button (i.e. SHIFT + TV). When I try that all that happens is the TV comes on as normal. Any advice? Ben
