Has anyone had success connecting a Beosystem 3 to a 65" Panasonic D10 ? I can't get the Beosystem to recognize this panel, although the BV4-10 is listed. I am without TV until B&O figures something, although they are not too helpful so far...

Can you help we were mis sold an HD ready BV 4 42" we are trying to sort this out but do you know if the last 42" models were full HD? Thanks.

You can order the frame as spare part, however, you might be faced with some trouble to get the enclosure for mounting the frame to the display. Without this enclosure/box you will be unable to fix the frame to the display. It is not available as a spare part.

Hey Klas,

Don't select the HD version, you have the same model as I have .

Regarding your question about the frame, I think it's still possible to order the 50" frame.

I know that for the 42" you can't get it anymore .

hopefully last question on this thread; should i select B&O BV4-50 d9 or d9 HD? My version is a 1080i and not the 1080p but its d9 - panel: TH-50PH9WK

Also; as a seperate note - is it possible to get the B&O BV4 50" frame as a spare part and mount on to the Panasonic commercial model?

I managed to get hold of the Panasonic 50" d9 Commercial model from a good friend who worked for Panasonic (If anyone is keen on a 5mth 42" version he might still have this- edit: This has now been sold)

Anyhow - Beogen and 355f; you seem to have a lot of experience within this specific area; Should i manually select the B&O 50 plasma in Setup>Display 1? Currently it stands as Generic...

Also - do i need to connect the Serial (back from plasma) to the BS3 (Monitor); what functions do i get then; auto brightness?

Will the serial also help switching on and off the "screen"? What type of serial do i need to get? read in another post something about a 2>3>2>2>5>5 or something simillar (cant find the post now).........

Excellent news to a year that otherwise have started with tonsiliitis and high fever; very happy camper tonight.....

The D9 HD panel - ie not 1080p seems to give better performance generally than the 1080p version. for 50" or less.The 1080 version was pushed out quickly by panasonic but the next step forward is the new range of screens with higher contrast ratios and double the life which you can but in afew months and if you go to AV forums you wil learn alot about this new panel .
The problem with all this is when the bs3 is connected to another screen be it any panasonic or pioneer I have never found that the BS3 offers an improvement over the standard offering from those companies( I know some dont have tuners but even with an external box i mean!) and may have something to do with the fact that the BV4 is calibrated to the BS3 from the factory and the changes within the BV4 by B&O My advise would be to get the 720 BV4 from a dealer at a reducedprice or get the d9 HD and find an ISF calibrator in your area.
I think going down 3rd party route route means you are paying £5500 for a preamp for the speakers and a junction box- which seems to be what the BS3 becomes with a third party panel and the commeon compaint is that it make sgthe image to dark

So are we saying that a TH42PH9UK might be better than a TH42PH10UK? (I am deliberately not mentioned the full HD panel)

How can panasonic take a step back? (and have they?)

I also have a D9 42" panel connected to a BS3 because I heard the same story about the D10 having a lower SD quality picture. This information came from a Panasonic technician and he also told me that the colours are nicer with a D9 panel. I don't know if the D9's are still for sale and I think that the D10 cost less.

There is someone that could say which are the last panels in beovision 4-65, which differences should exist with commercial panasonic models, and if there any diffciculty in connecting beosystem 3 with last panasonic d10 or G10 models
