I can be fussy too at times, and the thing that kind of disappointed me about the BS1's quality was when i was in the room with it, and ejected a CD, the plastic parts creaked! Yuck! That's what i don't miss about it, i wasn't keen on the feel of the plastics and i don't really understand why they didn't use better materials (the soft touch plastic and a bit of glass would've made a huge difference)

Re: Beosound 1 CD loading tray question.

As always, a good sense of humor helps, thanks Trip;)

Re: Beosound 1 CD loading tray question.

They tend to sit ever so slightly proud of the rest of the surface and appear, in profile, to be at a slight angle. I have never known it to be anything but this, so you don't have an oddity on your hands.

Is the frosted glass part of the tray supposed to fit flush with the flat part of the rear deck? I have heard that some sit up slightly, some sit flush, and others sit slightly down. It does not adversely affect play, just being obsessive compulsive. Also, I checked the service manuals but I do not see any adjustment for this. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks.
