Before your answer I tried a lot of combination of shift and other buttons.

But as it seems; never "Picture" ;-)

Now it works fine.

Then only little downside compared with "V-Tape 2" is that the MX does not start automatically when I start the DTV-decoder. But that is not important.

Easy to just push "TV"

How do you configure a preset to use decoder?

As far as I remember in the tuning "menu" that is displayed after pressing "goto".

Pressing "shift" and then "picture" will change "dec off" to "dec on" - you'll have
to store the change in the usual way.

Don't forget to make the required settings for AV1 or AV2 in the "setup menu"

Hi all

WEhoopeeeee got my problem sorted - can now view sky box thro the v8000 into av1 and with the dvd1 into av2.

Melvyn B&O Solihull made a sort of sideways comment recently to try a scart to rca lead into the back or the vcr - didthat with a 2awitched 2 way plug ie in or out of the sky box and into thr R Y W on the vcr a little messy to set it up ie need to go into the vcr menu and select camcorder but it WORKS!!!! - the set up did not justify the expense of a new AV2 Expander box as it will be upgraded with a BC2 and a simple BV7-32(you may wonder why - i alresdy have the BC2!)

have been playing around this afternoon to no avail - i did have decoder sound at one stage but no pic tried both tv's ie early bl1000 and later beo 4 again no joy camcorder setting will not generate a pic - wondering if its the scart leads although they all work fine in other configs

have to leave it a couple of days now as in transit to uk - will bring v8000 with me as i have mx7000 in uk house so can continue hair pulling etc!

If your sky box is connected to the AUX input of the V8000 it should be possible to select this input by CAMCORDER in the main menu of the V8000. You will find this information in the user- and setup manual - hope this helps.

Tried both your suggestions ie beo4 and bl1000 - neither worked! - only paged the inserted video - took it out, nothing

Have tried the V8000 menu-setup route now get the sky input on ch 1 & 2 however with menu overlaid when i go back to pure vtape can't find ch1 or 2 - how do i get em up - sorry for being a dimwit - can usually sort most things but this oy vay!

V.MEM (V.TAPE) - Yellow...(?) If I remember correctly this works with HDR1/2...

Hi all -Mr Stupid here

Tried the aforementioned setup's cannot get em to work, my setup;_

av1 - b&o v8000 v-tp with a sky box and a set top box daisy chained

av2 - b&o dvd1

i am in france , the tv is a pal uk std(about 1997 with earlier set up system) so no external aerial, can link sky thro rf system but the set top box is french secam so it won't work however when the b&o vcr taken out of the equation everything works fine

how do i call up or set the vcr to read the scart input from sky - cannot find a link or info

have also tried with a later mx7000(2002 with the later setup system) with a secam rf channel same result

help please

I will try but the line that distorts is very hard to capture The other issue should be a bit easier

Do you have any idea why there is a line of distortion and when a dark picture with light areas it flickers??

Add V.SETUP to your LIST button on your Beo4 remote.

The go to V.SETUP sub menu and you will find TUNE, PICTURE, TREBLE, BASS etc.
