However it will stay open at its height and gradually closes when lowered. I use epoxy to permanently attach the lid. Clean the old foam off and re attach it. As for the CDX, it should close automatically when you press play and the disk starts playing. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can anyone advise how the aluminium panel that covers the record deck&amp;#39;s linear arm connects to the main unit?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Currently the unit&amp;nbsp;I have, the panel&amp;nbsp;is detached.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Does it stay up when correctly attached?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On a similar note..... the Beogram CD X -&amp;nbsp;When I press the eject button the glass panel rises fine,&amp;nbsp;is it supposed to close via the&amp;nbsp;button or is the closing procedure manual?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;
