In my bedroom there is an Avant 32 VCR with no satellite or DVD player connected - the only connection is the ML Cable and aerial. The book says that if you want to watch a DVD then you have ot press LINK then DVD to watch a DVD from the living room - the problem is the sound is so poor. It's the same on satellite until I do AV SAT and then it's in stereo and really good. CD and Radio are also really good - it's just DVD's that are the problem.

Re: Link Room TV and DVD Sound

When you have your link-room Avant in option 6 the correct sequence in order to get the stereo (better quality through Masterlink) should be: AV on your Beo4's display (using LIST) and then you just press DVD and that's it - to go back to the mono sound (worse quality through the RF cable) you just press DVD again etc. You can change the sound back and forth at any time while you play the dvd - and will certainly hear the difference. Hope this helps. Please try it and let us know.

Also, not sure why you're pressing LINK etc. Do you have connected other DVD player to your Avant in the link room - or is any of the AV inputs set for DVD (ie even without one connected) that you use that command?

EDIT: SORRY, you have an Avant DVD in your link room, too ... I get it!

Link Room TV and DVD Sound

I have an Avant in my living room with a DVD and Sattellite and another Avant in my bedroom. they are both linked and option in the bedroom is 6. The problem is that the sound is really bad when doing LINK then GO then DVD in my bedroom - is there a quick way of getting the AV sound through - on Sattellite I press SAT, LIST, AV, GO, SAT and the sound is great. But on DVD it's through RF and is very poor (something wrong with the Tuner in the bedroom Avant I expect). I've tried LINK AV and GO and DVD but this doesn't work - am I missing something?, I can find anything in the BEO4 manual or the Avant that tells me what to do.

Any help much appreciated
