Okey so its most likely that the cable is broken. BUT it does not work if i plug it in via the mcl cable to aux to the bs3000 but that works with no problem with my bs2500 and it is with this cable that the respond time is really slow?

Re: beolab 3500 with bs3000 doesnt work???

If it says "NO ML" then that means you either have a cable fault or connection problem to/from the Masterlink Cable.

Also as it takes so long to react to the remote also means its more than likely a Masterlink cable problem.

Re: beolab 3500 with bs3000 doesnt work???

Thank you for your answer, i have tried to set it to masterlink but it says NO ML, du i have to set something up on my bs3000 since it works on my bs2500 (via mcl to aux, that does not work on bs3000) or is it most likely that the masterlink cable is broken?

Option 2 (Default setting)

Option 4 For use in the same room as the Audio master

Option 0 Disables remote control operation

On the back of the LCS9000 next to the MCL socket will be a black plastic cover, if you remove it carefully you will find a Masterlink socket underneath it.

On a LCS9000 by default the MCL (Master Control Link) socket is enabled.

To use the MasterLink you need to enable it via a service menu command. To get into the service menu to switch between ML & MCL press MENU then MENU then 0 then 2 then PLAY on a Beolink 1000, then use the up arrow to switch, then STORE.

Re: beolab 3500 with bs3000 doesnt work???

I have just found out that it was a lcs 9000 v.1 and not a bl 3500 dont know if that is of important in this matter.

However i have it playing right now with my old bs2500 thru aux, but the speaker is extreamly slow in responding to the beo4 if i press cd it takes about 6 seconds before it responds.

It is still not possible to set the speaker to link option 6, is it broken or what?

Damn this was harder than i thought.

REALLY thankfull for help in any way

edit* i have now tried to connect the lcs 9000 thru masterlink cable to bs3000, i did press menu 0, 2 then go to set the speaker to masterlink but it says in the panel: NO ML

I would have done that but i canot set the bl 3500 to masterlink, i have tried to press menu, menu 0,2 and then go but nothing happens.

The thing is that the bl 3500 does not respond to beo4 other than L.opt, it is really anoying and i dont know if i have done something with the settings on either bl 3500 or my beo 4, dont know if i can reset everything?

Re: beolab 3500 with bs3000 doesnt work???

A warm Welcome to Beoworld.

Rather than use the Beolink Converter (1611) why not connect the Masterlink cable directly to the Beolab 3500

Have a look at my FAQ HERE to see how to set the Beolab 3500 to Masterlink

beolab 3500 with bs3000 doesnt work???

Hello!

I have a beosound 3000 witch i have connected to an beolink converter (1611) with masterlink cable, from there an mcl cable to my beolab 3500 and nothing happens. I bought the speaker today (used) and it worked fine when (connected to a bs 9300) when i got home i connected as told before and the beolab 3500 acts wierd, hardly reacts on the commands from beo 4 and when it does it just shows eg. cd for a few seconds and then it turns of.

I have tried to connect the bl3500 direct with mcl to aux on my bs 3000 and its the samr there.

When i asked the b&o dealr on the phone he told me to set the bl3500 to l.opt 6 but that is not possible. I can only switch thru opt 0,2,3 and 4 it wont respond to other commands.

Anyone who knows what the problem might be?

Thank You
