I believe the RL140's won't be that much different; just be very careful with the woofers. If they don't have foam rot already, they will at least be fragile... or if you're very lucky, fixed already - but I wouldn't expect that for the price you paid for them!

For £20 I reckon you can do what you want! Don't wet the grilles but maybe an upholstery cleaner?

Yes, any info on a strap supplier would be really good.

I picked up the RL140s today - they're in much better cosmetic condition than I was expecting and to my untrained ear they sound great (he let me have them for £20 too!). I see what you mean about the size though. They're actually bigger than the fridge I have in here!!

that would be great, I have some RL 60.2's that could do with a strap refresh, also I remember someone on ebay selling the distinctive Red & Black speaker cables that go with the Redline speakers, but they seem to have disappeared, does anyone know who now sells the curly speaker cables these days ??

There was an eBay seller making replacement straps for the RL's, with fixing brackets too!

We bought a few pairs a while back, and can't remember her name. However, they look great! The name in red is missing, but the strap material was identical.

I'll do some grilling to try and find her details...

Maybe I'll just have to remove the actual small refrigerator I already have in here then!

I'd also just like to compliment this site and in particular its users - within a couple of hours of posting I've had answers to all my questions and in the case of the CD50 a much better solution to the problem than I could ever have expected. That's got to be woth £30 for Gold membership, especially as I now own several pieces of old B&O and am likely to come looking for help here again. In fact I think I'll go upgrade now...

Believe me, my housemates are already very unimpressed with my RL60s, especially their ability to disperse music throughout the entire 6 bedroom house at unsociable times of the day!!

I thought £23 was a good price too, but it was quite a badly produced listing so probably didn't get much notice. Having said that I haven't seen them yet (the listing had no photos) and althought the seller said they were working and in OK cosmetic condition I'm not expecting the best looking pair of speakers out there!

You may find it altogether easier to move your room inside the RL140's
