Just to make double sure, you did also release the shift before pressing text, didn't you? If yes, it may be that the shift button doesn't work in your remote. It doesn't transmit anything by itself, so it's pretty difficult to test without having a known working device to try it on or compare to.

I was, though. First shift, then text. And then text tv appears.

No worries, anyway, the problem was with the PS3. It was set up to use HDMI, which obviously didn't work with my tv. Thanks for your time anywow :-)

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. If I press shift+text i get text tv.

Is there a way to reset the tv?

Press : SHIFT TEXT to access the set up menu. The Scart socket is Aux 2. I don't have one here so I cannot remember the options but obviously don't set it up as a B&O Video tape!

I'm the owner of an old Beovision LX2502.

It's a nice television - the only problem is that I don't know how to use the scart socket. I've got a standard Beolink 1000 remote control.

What I'd like to do is connect a PS3 via the scart socket. But how do I make it show up on the screen?
