&lt;p&gt;If there are any more suggestions for registering the base to the handset without going back to the shop I would be glad to hear them.&lt;/p&gt;

I assume you have the combined charging and base station. I recall I had similar problems with my first Beocom 2.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you have the &lt;span style="text-decoration:underline;"&gt;separate&lt;/span&gt; base station, you press a small button on the base to put it into registartion mode. Then you go into the menu on the Beocom 2 and ask it to register to base.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The handset now charges and the menu functions are working but the &amp;#39;Information&amp;#39; screen is constantly on and when I press OK the display says &amp;#39;No contact with base&amp;#39;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Can you tell me how to move on from this problem?&lt;/p&gt;
