&lt;p&gt;So no Beocom blame, must be the phoneline itself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now comes the difficult part, getting hold of someone at my telephone service provider.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have the following problem with my Beocom 2.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When called, it rings only once. If you pick it up, there is connection, but with a &amp;#39;crackling&amp;#39; background noise.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The caller hears this noise as well, even before the phone is picked up from its charger.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Calling the phone when it&amp;#39;s off the charger, it also rings only once, but then that&amp;#39;s it, no more connection.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyone an idea what this might be?&lt;/p&gt;
