That's correct, it should however be able to detect the voltage at pin 8 (if the
box gives out the correct voltage)!

What do you mean by "controlling the DVBT box with beo4 remote via pin 8"?
Do you mean that the box switches on/off when the TV goes on/off?

Hello Gerd,

I have just been informed by Bang & Olufsen that BC6-23 doesnt have "black bar detection".

It means that it cant measure the proper picture to show unless the connected hardware sends a format video signal.

Pin 8 works fine, because i am controlling the DVBT box with my beo4 remote via pin 8.

I guess i am at the end of the line here. But thanks gor you good ideas and input.

If you have a meter check the voltage at pin 8 in order to see if the receiver
output is correct. You can also try to connect a DVD Player or anything else
with 16:9 output instead.

Hello Gerd,

I have been in the service menu and tried the changes you refer to.

I have a fully wired scart cable.

I will try another scartconnector and another receiver.

- in service menu set "Auto-Format" to ON and "WSS Status" to DETECT ON

- ensure you have a fully wired scart cable (check pin 8: 4,5–8 V = 16:9 / 9–12 V = 4:3)

- try the other scart connector

- try another receiver

Hello all,

I have connected a DVB-T box to a BeoCenter 6 - 23 type 9212 with a scartcable.

The problem is that when i shift to the DVB-T box output(VMEM) the tv cannot sense the format change. Meaning: the tv starts in format 1(which is the wrong format, because im missing top and bottom of the picture). The correct format is format 3 which i have to change to manually. I have tried changing the settings in the service menu (WSS). And this doesnt help.

Anybody has an idea to a solution to my problem.
