Version 3.00a is the latest, but apparantly cannot be used in older Beolab 5's meaning units with a serial number prior to 21221146 will never be able to have version 3.00a

This means that members with units before the above serial number can only have their software updated to 2.61a which provides the following fixes:-

Periodical digital noise symptom in BeoLab 5 has been cured (if connected to e.g. BeoSound 9000 via SPDIF and Power Link). The symptom could occur when playing back CD's with Copy Protection software.

Prior to that was version 2.6 which provided:-

Periodical digital spike noise symptom in BeoLab 5 has been cured (if connected to non-audio source).

Prior software version was 2.5 and it provided:-

PIN Code functionality (active from factory).

Volume synchronisation cable supported (for option 1 or 4 setup)

The prior software was 1.62a and is likely what most early buyers would have in their Beolab which was an update to fix the Periodical digital noise symptom which really was not correctly fixed until version 2.61

There was three prior updates from first production shipments being version 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6

Latest Beolab 5 software version

Does anyone know the last couple of software updates and specifically what the description of the update is
