It also allow link speakers (BL 2000) and slaves (a stereo in link mode) to receive sound from the master and also controlling the masters.

So, no problem. The ML system is just a connection between your products. And they will know how to talk to each others.

Re: BeoLab 2000 Connection

How much does the masterlink splitter box run?
In simple terms, you buy another Masterlink cable of whatever length you need to get from the BeoLab2000 to somewhere covenient to connect into your existing Master link cable.

Chop the plug off one end of the cable. The "jointing" of the two cables can either be done with a Bang & Olufsen ML junction box, or simply using a terminal strip to re-connect the coloured strands in the cable. If you go for the second option, you need to remeber to short the pink and blue stripped cables together. This happens automatically if you use thte proper junction box.

It is important to power off you system BEFORE cutting into the ML cable. Connect everything up then switch the mains back on.

Opman

My current system is configured this way but I would like to hook up a BeoLab 2000 I have from a different room.

BeoSystem 1 to BV4-42 through VGA; BC2 to BS1 through Masterlink

Fronts- BL8000; Rears- BL6000; Center- BL4000; Sub- BL2

How can I hook up this BL2000 (from another room) to my system so I can control with a Beo4? (please note I only have one masterlink coming out of the BS1 and it is being used by the BC2)

Thanks,
