Hi Keith,

The remote does not have any codes on it, do you think that the model no of the box ends in 05 is the rc code.

Most Philips STB's use remotes which conform to protocol RC5 or RC6 which were originally developed by Philips.

Have a look on the back of the DTR220/05 remote for its number which will normally start "RC???" and then from this I can answer your question.

The Chip is cheap, just get in touch with your local B&O Dealer. They can order any version, it's not like you could only order the local version.

if one has an old STB-C with IC Chip ver 3.6, can you simply change like for like a newer ver 4.06 or later chip ??

Yes please, that would help me. I do have the IC chip 4.06 but not yet build in my B&O TV.

Before doing so and dismanteling the rear cover etc. of my TV, I would like to know which devices it supports to prevent that all the work is done with no results at the end .

I'm afraid the Ordering number for the new Chip is the same as the old one. So i belive you can't order it anymore (shrug maybe im wrong and you somehow still can manage to get one). I got the list on my laptop, can check tomorrow if you still need it by then.
