believe it or not, i occasionally have seen something similar... on my avant!

not very often and not nearly to the same extent as yours, and it seems predominantly to happen w/ local news shots w/ solid color areas framing "live action" and sometimes in the "live action" shot as well... just like your photo!

i have not noticed it on any other sources though ...like DVD as you have -at least that i can remember... i always thought it was the broadcast???

time does not seem to be an issue? -i will try to snap a pic of it.

Re: BV7 MKIII Picture Problem

deleted

Re: BV7 MKIII Picture Problem

Never seen that either, can you post these pictures?

Re: BV7 MKIII Picture Problem

We think we have narrowed the problem down to occurring between 30 and 60 minutes after the TV is turned on. Periodically dark portions of the picture will be displayed as a bright red grid pattern and some light portions will have small areas of a blue grid pattern. It does this with both satellite TV as well as DVDs played in the internal DVD player so it would seem to be a problem with the BV7. Also, it does not repeat. In other words watching a DVD it may do one time but then if the same scene is replayed it will not do it.

I have talked to the dealer about but thought I would see if anybody else has ever experienced anything similiar.
