It does seem odd though that I used to be able to notice the difference with it on or off.... now nothing....

Is it possible something is wrong with my beocentre 2?

With the beolab's 5 you don't need loudness even at very low volume

Re: loudness setting on Beocenter 2

The Loudness control (as with all B&O systems) only has an affect at lower volumes. The idea is that you can still hear low frequencies etc... even when using the system for background music.

Your BeoLab 9s have built in loudness circuits which too are only active at lower volumes, so I personally would avoid using any sort of loudness control on your BeoCenter 2, as you'll effectively be 'doubling' the loudness control.

loudness setting on Beocenter 2

Hello

Recently i was changing sound settings on my beocenter 2, i.e treble, bass and loudness.

Treble and bass change and I can audibly hear the difference, when selecting. 'Loudness' however appears to no longer work- it is able to be changed on the beocenter 2 display to on or off, but nothing changes with the actual sound. It used to work.... now it appears not to work.

Beolab 9's are connected to the socket box.

Initially i thought perhaps it had something to do with itunes/mp3's..but i have the same issue when playing CD's.

It seems odd to me that treble bass work and 'loudness' doesnt...

Any suggestions????
