I just set up my new Beocom 2. It looks totally awesome.... except that I only need a cable about 25 cm long and it has a really really long cable. Any ideas on how to hide it? I have it on the kitchen bench so there really isn't anywhere to tuck it down.

It's a shame you can't wind it into the base somehow. You can't really see in the crappy iPhone pics but it hangs all the way to the floor.

Somewhere below the work tops there will be power cables, if not a wall mounted power socket. Feed the Beocom's power lead through a small hole drilled into the bench at a point immediately behind where you want your phone to sit. You will probably have to cut the lead and re-connect it underneath. Drastic perhaps, but it would solve the problem!

Hey thanks for the advice. I might actually go check out the tubing.... The dummy holder sounds good and I did think about that.... but I would always forget to charge it until it's too late

There is a a sample fair thing today and B&O are going to be there... so i'm gonna check that out too !

Hi Luke,

Love the stainless steel in the kitchen, very much my taste too. I have a solution for you. To solve a similar issue I bought a BeoCom 2 dummy wall charger and used that in my kitchen to put the BeoCom 2 into. It really did look the part. I had the actual charger in the lounge so every few days I would recharge it again. That worked very well.

If you do want to keep the charger in the kitchen then another alternative is to use black tie wraps to hold the cable together tightly with movement only from the plug to the base. You could then encase that in some plastic tubing (available from Ikea in a lovely stainless steel effect finish) or the black mesh tubing available from your B&O dealer. Those are your only options as I see it, at least, without having the option of channelling the cabling into the wall which would always be the prefered route of course. I'd send you some photos but I have since moved things so I have no current examples to show you. I now have the BeoCom 2 and charger back in the lounge. They are on an Acacia table (http://www.acacia-design.co.uk/) table that sits under the BV7-40.
