I have a question regarding the LinTronic import tool software. How do you go about getting that on the computer. I downloaded the LinTronic Configurator tool and before I pull the trigger on buying a license, I'd like to ask if someone can direct me to a proper download link. I don't mind paying for the software, I just don't know which one to pay for. Essentially I'm looking for the same thing that is on the youtube video posted here. From what I can read in the "window" on the video it's called CODE LEARN that is being used to 'translate' to Beo5 xml converter. Any help is appreciated.

That makes so mutch more sense now :)

When parsing the timings to a new text file just naming it on.txt off.txt hdm1.txt etc. and then pointing your tools to the directory worked.

The XML you tried with the PS507705 did not work. But I will send you a working XML when im done with it (found a pronto ccf file that had working ir-codes).

I have taken the pronto HEX codes you supplied in your Excel file for the Samsung PS507705 and made an XML file for you to test.

You can download it from HERE

Extract the ZIP file to C:\ and the file will be automatically added to the correct directory in the Configuration Tool

I looked at the IR protocol that these codes produce and it is not any protocol I have seen before, so if it does not work then we can assume that the Pronto HEX codes you found on the www.remotecentral.com web site are not correct.

I have had a look at your video and I can see where you are getting confused.

The Beoworld XML Converter takes the Lintronic captured timings and converts them into a useable XML file. The converter cannot translate a Pronto HEX as found on Remote Central. The data you got from the Lintronics program is not a waveform timing.

If you look at the Beoworld XML Converter help file you will see that the captured (i.e. assumes you have a Lintronics box) Lintronic timings are in the form as shown below:-

For this im trying to set up my IP-TV box...

The XML Converter Tool found on Beoworld only converts Lintronics timing codes to RAW encoding in the XML file meaning that some functions may not function 100% as original. However, you can use other facilities such as "Bitstream" which will provide you with almost 100% perfect results.

The main exceptions mostly relate to Philips protocol such as RC6 because they toggle bit 3 of the IR sequence for each press of the same button.

The older Philips RC5 protocol which also toggles bit 3 of the IR sequence is fully supported in the Beo5/6 firmware and works well. The 3rd party XML tool found on Beoworld can convert known RC5 address and command codes into a working XML file.

Thomson IPTV

Boxee Box

Sonos-system (problably not able to remote this as it not using IR at all).

I bought the silver membership to get your wonderful tool.... buuuuuut... the helpfile isnt working for me.

Im kinda in the dark now. Cheers!

edit: got it to work.. time to learn some new stuff :)

Hello Keith,

I do not quite understand that you have not contacted me when developing this excellent program, to ensure future compatability.
Example: There is a minor issue reading the format when I enhanced the timing control.

Furthermore we could make use of the thousands of products already in our database.
I would be more than happy to cooperate.

Furthermore I think the program should be available to everybody.
It could be integrated into the Configurator.

Is there any chance of more screen shots. I'd like to have an idea how easy this is to use, i'm a bit of a dummy, and screen shots would hopefully give some explanation of what level of knowledge is required.
