It is the same inconvenience every time I have to connect my laptop to BV7 via the DVI socket. HD camcorders are a general problem though, because at the end you need to archive the video somewhere. In the past it was a VHS tape, then DVD, but for HD camcorders there is no good solution yet in my opinion. You would need a Blu-Ray or similar recorder to archive HD camera videos and a high-definition player to play it back - something B&O does not provide yet. I personally still use a SD camcorder for this reason.

Re: playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

Thanks for this. A bit inconvenient, though, having to take off that cover each time I want to play back from my camcorder. It would be far better if they were placed with the audio sockets behind the flap. Or am I missing something?

Re: playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

They are in the back behind the cover where all other sockets (SCARTs, etc.) are, right above the DVI-input socket.

Re: playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

Absolutely, but where are the three video sockets?

Re: playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

Could it be that you are supposed to use 3 sockets for component video (Y-Pb-Pr) and 2 sockets for analogue audio input?

Re: playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

Any thoughts anyone?

playing back videos from a HD camcorder on BV-7 40 Mark ii

Hi everyone

Ive just recorded some videos on my Kodak Zi6 mini camcorder and to play back through TV I am suplied with 2 sets of leads - one just for non-HD TVs but for HD TVs they supply 2 leads which need 5 sockets in the TV and I am supposed to use both. I can only find the usual 3 sockets.

Thanks
