You would need another ML/MCL converter I think. Use one to powere the speakers in the main room and the other for the link speakers. Might be worth looking for an older MCL2P which would be fine to power the main room.

That is totally correct.

Your should connect the BS9000 by PowerLink to the MCL/ML or MCP2P, and connect the main speakers to the MCL/ML or MCL2P. Then you connect a MCL/ML by MasterLink to the BS9000 also, and to this MCL/ML you connect your MasterControlLink system.

Re: BeoSound 9000 and MCL

You would need another ML/MCL converter I think.
I have ordered a BeoSound 5 to replace my BeoSound 9000 at my home. The delivery date is 11.02.2009.

At my summer house I have an old BeoSystem 4500 connected to a MCL link system with passive speakers in the main room and in all of the link rooms.

Now I am considering to replace the BS 4500 with the BS 9000 and am trying to figure out if this is possible.

I know it is possible to use the ML/MCL converter to power either the link system or the main room speakers. I actually use a converter in the sauna building with BeoSound Ouverture and passive speakers and it works fine.

Now I am asking if there is a way to get both working, the main room speakers and the link room speakers. Of course one possibility would be to upgrade the main room speakers with active ones but I'm a bit reluctant to do so because they are in-wall speakers and built in a concrete wall. The subs are built in a recessed roof.

Thank you in advance
