Hi Alex.

Thanks for your swift reply.

However, i tried your method and the sound still coming through the speakers.

On further investigation it appears that one of the speakers is connected to the BS7000 ! i have Bl4000 as rears.

But due to the jumble i cant see which one's which!

You would need to connect the headphones to the Avant's headphones output, not the Beosystem 7000's. The headphones connection on each device will disable the device's own PowerLink outputs, not the PowerLink (speaker) outputs on other devices.

amongst the jumble of wires it looks as if they're connected to my Avant RF32 dvd........ M linked to the BS7000

without taking them all out of the sock that's the best i can tell you for the mo

Hi, and Happy new year to everyone!

Got a pair of A8 headphones for xmas for my ipod.......fantastic!!

Tried the A8's with my BS7000.

I connect them and the sound keeps coming from the speakers (penta 3's) and nothing from the earphones.

Can anyone help please?

I'm sure it'll be something simple
