How do you determine depth of field in a 2D image, even if something is moving how can you tell if it is an eagle in the distance or a housefly on the camera lens?

I can understand dynamic control of colours, luminence, contrast and edge detection/sharpening etc. but what you describe seems incredible, especially in an analogue TV signal without a frame store.

Re: It's time for new TVs again!

FWIW, we've just bought a Samsung 32" LCD to go in our lounge. The simple reason is that we can't afford a BeoVision, but for those who can, it highlights just where the price goes in a B&O TV. The Samsungs seemed to be the best performers, but they're still miles off the picture of a BeoVision. The difference seems to be even larger towards the larger-sized TVs.

VisionClear encompasses everything which produces the image on a B&O Television, from the Anti-Reflection Contrast panel in front of the display to the processing which sits behind it. The only way you can really appreciate the picture on a B&O TV is to get used to the picture they produce (as I have done) and then look at the brand-X offerings.

This is without even talking about the sound, integration or design/build quality.
