The codes are not the same, however - the Thomson box just happens to respond to both. By this I mean the Sky HD remote will only control the Sky HD box. The Sky+ remote will control both boxes. It is possible that in the new generation of Sky HD boxes (Samsung and Pace) they have disabled the response to the old remotes - but I would think it unlikely. I haven't got a new box to test though!

Re: Beovision 7-40 MKII and Samsung Sky HD

Hi, thanks

I will try this later, do you know exactly where (on the front of the Sky HD box) the IR window is?

Re: Beovision 7-40 MKII and Samsung Sky HD

as far as i am aware the remotecodes are the same no matter who makes the box as the remote is the same

try pace Sky + if its not there you may need a softwear update

Re: Beovision 7-40 MKII and Samsung Sky HD

I have connected via the DVI with a HDMI-DVI converter and am using RCA for sound (will use digital when I get the connectors). I get picture and sound OK but cannot control the Sky HD with the B&O remote.

My questions are:

1. Which option should I use as the STB controller (the Sky HD is not listed)?

2. Do I need a SW update to enable the Samsung Sky HD Bow?

3.
