The one HDMI is a bit of a nuisance, but I hooked up a 2-to-1 switcher. The switcher is one of those that automatically detects which input is active and connects that automatically, so no remote or buttons required. It works without a hitch.

The 32" size of the TV means its slightly lower resolution than full-HD isn't noticeable, unless it's being used as a computer monitor. Wonderfully sharp images in blu-ray movies and games alike. The built-in upscaler of the BV8 is better than the PS3's, so make sure you disable the PS3's automatic DVD upscaler. The PS3 has the added bonus of matching very nicely to the BV8's cabinet!

All-in-all, a very practical, stylish yet not too expensive TV option. I love it.

Leo

Re: best telly for playstation 3

Looked pretty good on Lee's BV9!

Re: best telly for playstation 3

PS3 is amazing on a BV7 Mk 3 running at 1080p.

Re: best telly for playstation 3

Of course a 1080p screen is a must - BV7-40 MKIII is your minimum currently!

Re: best telly for playstation 3

The Beovision 26" has been discontinued - I would suggest that this answers your question! The 32" is far more popular and you will find the bigger screen more effective. You can get an HDMI expander for the BV7 but I do not know if it works with the BV8.

best telly for playstation 3

i currently have an aged mx 4000 connected to a playstation 3. not bad, but i can be much better

i was thinking of buying a beovision 8-26" or 8-32" (is there any difference between the two of them except screensize)

if i look at specs of other brands i see that a lot of them have more than 1 hdmi connections. why does b&o only have one or is this of minor importance........although more and more equipment uses hdmi ?

is the new floorstand for the 8-32" compatible with the 8-26" ?

thanks, m.
