Can I expand on this? Yes of course. At £5500 for a BS3 I cannot understand why anybody would pair it with a 720p BV4-50 panel, save for reasons of financial constraints and connectivity requirements - well there are two good reasons lol. If you have got £5500 to spend on a BS3, then the 1080p capable panels are far more suited, source dependent of course. Often I have seen dealers pair the BS3 with a MK1 BV4-50 because the customer just wanted to watch SKY HD and wanted to hit a price point, when in reality they should have been supplied with an HD Beosystem 2 at a tremendous cost saving IMHO.

Can anyone give me a short view of the differences between the Mk I-III in respect of functionality (not the obvious one, resolution) but more if VisionClear, Automatic Colour Management ( ambitient light compensation) functions that been added etc... or is NOT available for the Mk I

I have seen plenty of MK1 panels paired with both Beosystem 2 and 3, although the latter arrangement is curious and IMHO should always be used with the later full HD panels. What would concern me is the age of the panel - it is imperative you have the serial number and then can trace the date it was bought by the dealer to confirm whether it was in fact a 2007 purchase. Great news is that my trust in my dealer is still valid. I then of course like to know if the Mark I came with Beosystem 3 and what the diferences between the Mark I and II and maybe also for the later ones also....

The EU version of the Beovision 4-50 has been produced in three versions as below:-

1366 x 768 is a Mark I version

1920 x 1080 Progressive Mark II Type numbers 9039 to 9049 Introduced Sept 2007

1920 x 1080 Progressive Mark III Type numbers 9115, 9050 to 9059 introduced Feb 2008 using D9 panel

1920 x 1080 Progressive Mark III Type numbers 9116,9072,9074, 9080 to 9089 introduced March 2008 using D10 panel

My dealer is offering me to buy a "demo BV4-50" from 2007 to a fair price... The set is not up in the store but packed and stored. I have unfortunately not the modelnumber. But he says it's from 2007 with BS3 and has 1366x768. I have no reason to disbeleive him, but just want to be very sure since I have not come across this configuration before. All the ones that I've seen with 1366x768 has been with a BS2.

I need your help to confirm that this is correct for sale in 2007

I have seen that in the Broschure from 2006/2007 that this is correct that the BV4-50 here in Nordic supported 1366x768 but in the broschure for 2007/8 it went to 1920x1080. Unfortunately I have not the broschure for 2007.

Which year did the Nordic retaílers switch actually to sell the BV4-50 EU supporting 1920x1080?
