Put the system into standby by pressing the 'off' switch for > 2 seconds and press SHIFT and then MENU. Just follow the instructions on the transparent screen!

My MX700 has SW4.3 and is thus one way. I am in the proces of down grading it to a 1.2 SW version which will once again make it two-way. By down grading I mean simply switch the Eprom - I am getting the right Eprom from another helpfull member of this forum.

However, I do have one question - how to I switch between one-way and two-way mode on my Beolink5000? I need it to be in two-way mode for my Beosystem 2300 and one-way mode (for the time being) on my MX7000?

Does anybody else have a comment on the price - what should I look out for when buying a DVD1 second hand?

Just use the CDV button. Also remember to put the 5000 in one-way mode for video, else it won't work.

I have to disagree, If the MX7000 is a 2 way, it will still work fine with a 2 way remote.

Thank you - you (that is "PhilLondon, formerly Wtlc2zpx ") do indeed sound sure. The problem I anticiapate is, that there is no DVD button om my Beolink 5000 - does that not constitute an issue? Which button should I use instead?

Price is good, you won't get is for less on ebay.

Be aware there might be different versions out there, supporting mp3 or so? I can't remember exactly.

It will work perfect with your system.

DVD1 can be operated. When you occasionaly need to press a color key, you can instead press SHIFT + ARROW KEY.

1) I got my fingers in a brand new (10 years old - but new in box) Beolink 5000. The reason for choosing this remote is that I have a Beocenter2300 and two LC2's. But will this remote operate a B&O DVD1?

2) Presently I do not own a DVD1. But I just got one offered at a price of I just got DVD1 offered for 300 Euros. Is that too much? The price for second hand DVD1's is 540 Euros - but they will then offer me a gaurantee for a year. I just do not have an idea as how good a price 300 Euro's for DVD1 is.
