Rip CDs using a utility such as CDEX (open source) and use CDDB to get track names

2. Create new folders on SD card and give them playlist names

3. Copy tracks to playlists (folders) as desired.

4. All you have really done in this case is created "albums" of music with new folder names.

Works fine.

Re: Beosound 4 - Is it possible to create playlists with the SD Card?

It has been some since I did it ... but yes there are folders that are effectively a dumb playlist for a BS2.

However the CD tracks are not elaborated as there is no access to the internet unless you chose to painfully enter your own names.

Similarly radio broadcasts that get recorded need to be named.

I have stuck to capturing my SDs via myBeoplayer/Beoport and then insertingthem into the BS4.

I hope that helps somewhat ...

Beosound 4 - Is it possible to create playlists with the SD Card?

Hi all.

I'm considering purchasing a Beosound 4 in time for Christmas and have a query regarding the SD card feature imbedded in the unit. How does one build playlists using the SD card? Is it even possible?

I have a Beosound 2 and understand playlists are essentially created whenever you insert songs into separate folders. Is this still the same with the Beosound 4?

Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
