Between the mk1 and mk2, there were quite vast improvements in DVD playback quality and responsiveness. The panel also changed each time I believe.&lt;/p&gt;

I had a MK1 and it had a &amp;#39;gloomy&amp;#39; image (looked dark, overcast, lacked brightness). Was lent a MKII or MKIII for a month whilst it was in repair and it was significantly better - at least 25% brighter. I had a MK1 and it had a &amp;#39;gloomy&amp;#39; image (looked dark, overcast, lacked brightness). Was lent a MKII or MKIII for a month whilst it was in repair and it was significantly better - at least 25% brighter.
