it depends on your active subwoofer: If it has autosense-function (or however the manufacturer calls this feature) it will power on as soon as it &amp;quot;hears&amp;quot; s.th. on the linesignal.

I have a non B&amp;amp;O subwoofer in my setup, too and it works fine. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only &amp;quot;problem&amp;quot; could be the crossover frequency.
