This really is good news, and I'm sorry it has took me so long to comment on it.

Am I right in thinking that this now facilitates the use of Beo 5 to control B&O equipment that is not Beolink 1000 compatible?

The late 80s Beomaster 5000 (MCP) and the Beomaster 3000 (Terminal 3000) spring to mind; or even the earlier beautiful Beomaster 8000.

I have been away from this site too long (too much hard work and not enough play) -- there is too much I don't understand (PUCs and the BEO5 flexibility implied by this thread) ...

BUT ... I would love to know the answer to Jandyt's question !!!

It should be noted that on 3rd April 2009 Lintronic released a new version of their configurator programme which supplies the timing information output in a different form which is NOT compatible with version 1.1 of the XML Generator.

Anyone who has installed the new version of the Lintronic Configurator and wishes to make an XML file for their 3rd party product should capture their timings in the normal way and add them to a zip file and upload that zip file HERE and send me a mail. I will produce an XML file from these timings in this new format and e-mail it back to you.

Does anybody has an idea to convert from Girder 3.29 gml file to extract the codes? That would be really great (there are a lot of cheap IR receiver Girder compatible out there)

What stars you both are. The Beo5 has always promised so much and Bang & Olufsen support has delivered so little.

You guys have provided the tools which will allow this fantastic product to approach its full potential.

Please send your CVs to Struer now. The future of B&O could depend on you, in fact in the future maybe the brand would be renamed K&J in your honour!!!

Any chance of wifi 2 way like iPod touch/phone..............:-)

I have no problems using the hardkeys. Just select properties and 3PartyIR tab, and select the action you would like. One thing though, it seems that the action HAS to be available as a softkey for the tab page to include the action to be used for the hardkey.

Okay, i use the apple universal docking station template. All ir codes from the soft keyare working very well. But, if i try to program the hard keys additionally,only the „menü“ ir code on the beo5 „back-hard key“ works.

Just remember to get the Config Software from your dealer when you buy one, this i guess will be the hard part, but make it a condition to have it, or you won't buy the Beo5.

In these times, the dealers should be happy if they could sell a lot of Beo5's :)

I've created a xml template for Sony trinitron TV sets using this new "Beo5 3rd party xml generator" and works great!

It will be ready to download in this web site very soon.

Thank you both for the stunning work, and special thanks to Keith for testing and all your precious help.

Now my Sony TV set is fully controlled by Beo5 LOT better than using the original Sony remote!!! due to the beo5 range power, and the higher precision of the keys.

There is no easy way of doing this without writing your own programme, but one available solution is DecodeCCF which you can download from HERE and is written in C++ and runs in command mode only.

The best way is to convert each Pronto code using the Lintronic software, you don't need the converter box
