I have found a complete assembly with shaft and flywheel so you don't have to take the thing apart. It's quite a task putting those tiny springs back together.

Have already tried IPA, but the rubber is extremely hard & cracked. It will work for 10 minutes or so after cleaning, but then slips badly. Have also previously adjusted the clutch boss, but has to be set too tight for the clutch to have any grip at all.

I had a sudden idea, that the hose union washers , (as used on appliance taps) might fit. However their O.D. is 3/4" & too small .

Have just measured the O.D. of the originals, at 30mm.

It would be good to be able to finish off the job properly, I have already sorted out all the various electronic faults & re-polished the cabinet, so just this bit to go!

If you can lay your hands on a good used clutch, or just the rubber facings, that would really be appreciated.

The clutch problem can usually be solved by cleaning the rubber surfaces
with isopropanol (tapehead cleaner) and/or adjusting the position of the
clutch boss to the point of max spring tension.

If everything else fails, I'm sure I have some good used parts in stock.

Having just rebuilt a vintage Beomaster 900, the only problem remaining is that the dual tuning drive clutch slips.

This is worse on F.M. as there is greater tension & loading on to the clutch system.

Is there anyone out there who knows where I could obtain a replacement assembly, or possibly the source of replacement tyres to glue on to the existing pulleys?
