I have thought about getting one to go with my BM6000, but they are what they call "retro" not to everyones taste.

Re: beocenter 1 and cassettes

Do you mean a Beocenter1 (TV set) or the Beosound 1 (Portable CD/Radio)?

If the Beocenter 1 you are a bit limited as it is designed for Video connections only. Does yours have an ML socket? If so, I would look for something like an Ouverture to connect to it. If not, try connecting a cassette player to the Audio L & R sockets of the Camcorder input. Or get an RCA to Scart lead. Obviously the cassette deck will not be remote control (unless you go the Ouverture route.)

If you meant the Beosound 1, plug the cassette into the Aux input!

beocenter 1 and cassettes

hi,

despite my love of technology, i must admit to a large collection of cassettes from my college years. some of the material was only released on cassette and i miss listening to it.

i am considering picking up a used beocord cassette player, like the beocord 5500. i hope to be able to connect it to the beocenter 1. i have seen the beolink converter, but i am not sure this is the right tool for the job.

has anyone ever tried such a thing, can they offer any advice ? thanks for any help,

scott
