I didn't expect such a big response. Thank you all for your kind wishes.

I used to know "M" when I was a youth, and she was a child. She is most definately a 'she' , and has blossomed into a fine looking woman ten years my junior. I haven't seen her for 34 years, when I was 16 and she was 6, so we have a lot of catching up to do!
My sister had added her as a friend on Facebook, so I did too. It took me weeks to pluck up the courage to ask if we could meet up, and my heart skipped a beat when she replied in the affirmative, I felt like a teenager again!
For our first rendezvous, she would like to have her older sister, "T", (who was briefly married to my older brother!) with her but we haven't decided whether to meet at T's house and go out for Sunday lunch, or meet at my home and then I take them both out to lunch. Either way, I will make sure I have my A9 keyring with me

We may find that we are totally incompatible, and remain 'just friends' but, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
How aware she is of B&O, I'm not sure,but she is sure to know a lot more by the end of that Sunday!
I have been given loads of advice from friends, family; coleagues and pupils, as I have never dated before. My late, lovely wife, Mavis and I got together when I was just 16 and she has been my one and only lover so I am totally clueless when it comes to courting!
I have been told
"Don't overdo the aftershave"
"Don't mention the words 'bed, bedroom or upstairs'!"
"Don't have your shirt tucked in" and "Don't wear a vest"
"Don't talk about Mavis"
"Don't have classical music on"
"Don't drown her in B&O"
My son, Jimmy summed all this up by saying "So basically Dad, you haven't got to be yourself" Out of the mouths of babes, eh?

another couple of thoughts -

1 hide the remote

2 service the old sh**ging wagon before the event -don't want the neighbours to know what you are at althought it'd give 'em something to think about!
