I used an IXOS cleaning CD (which I discovered afterwards is not recommended, but it did the trick without damaging the unit). When we bought ours it was ex demo and was very dusty. After cleaning, and using for the first time, we had the same problem as you. Then it just seemed to stop happening after about 2 weeks of use. It is either caused by dust or some sort of sensor having too much light on it perhaps.
