just like the BV7 32" it wouldn't be a substantial saving even if this did happen.

My understanding was that the saving was £1000. £1000 from a £6500 TV is a very substantial saving!

I'm not primarily interested in the "saving" but more the fact that I have a BC2 that provides CD/DVD already that also give me the opportunity to drive that source into a linked room while watching TV. I'd like to be able to use the BV 7 plattfom and not "forced" to go to BV4 which have a substansial higher pricelevel.

Secondly If you suggest that I trade-in my BC2 instead, I would counter with this: If I would trade in BC2 for anything it would be the new BS5....

B&O has not released any information that there will be a BV7 40" model without the DVD drive, and just like the BV7 32" it wouldn't be a substantial saving even if this did happen.

Hello Beoworld,

Anyone knows if this option will be reality? I talked with my dealer who said that I could order a BV 7-32 without DVD, but no 40" which is my prefered size. The only thing that will be close to this is the BV 8 40" that will soon available he said.

Still not my fav. cause I don't like the "shelf" I'd like a "flat" screen only
