As the BV4 is a Panansonic comercial panel you can plug in more input devices in the slots at the back of the panel. So you could add an 2nd DVI modul. The IR receiver of the panel is at the lower left corner of the fron bezel behind the frame and with a Panasonic remote control or a universal one you could switch the input from 1 to 2. However, this is not that easy as it sounds as the IR receiver is covered by the frame

An easier option would be to use a switch box with two DVI inputs and one output.

An other option is to drive the panel with a lintronic box (rs 232 from the box to the panel) to control all operations (on/off, input etc.)

The way in which you wish to set up the panel for a giggle is the way I understand you would drive any panel via DVI with a Beosystem 2 - your SW level should be high enough to select STB(DVI) and then the STB will drive the panel directly, audio will be routed, and the RS232 controls everything as normal. BS2 becomes just a switching device with HD Content.

Hi Team .

I want to drive my D8 BV4-50 directly with a settop box plugged in to the DVI on the pannel. Unfortunatly my BS2 wont do 1080i like the pannel. So I want to bypass the BS2 and direct drive the pannel for a giggle. Problem is without the serial from the BS2 to the pannel it wont turn on the screen :)

ANy idea how to force the TV to remain on and use DVI. I can get a picture via the BS2 but its via the VGA(RGB) to the PC VGA input. Which is useless. How can I use the DVI directly and skip BS2 completley ??

PS: my STB has audio out so audio is no issue.
