However I am still intereseted in finding out if the connections on the beovision 6 - 26 inch are dummy ones or if they can be used.

Re: Beovision 6 YPbPr connections

I think you won't get a better result. Especially if you use 480p.

The difference between 576i and 480p will hardly be noticable.

Today I attached my daughters Wii to the avant camcorder connnection. And I must say, it gives a fine picture.

Not superb, but the Wii isn't the best known for its video quality. For that you need the ps3.

And the BV6 has a 22" panel compared to the 32" avant, so the difference is more difficult to notice.

Re: Beovision 6 YPbPr connections

Thats's true Beobuddy, however if I use the component connections I can use the higher 480p resolution (EDTV).

Re: Beovision 6 YPbPr connections

At my BV6 there is also on the left backside a panel which covers the camcorder connection.

These are just composite (yellow), audio left and right channel (white and red).

These are the same as at the back from my Avant.

With the standard cable from the Wii it will work.

You don't need a special component cable.

Beovision 6 YPbPr connections

I have a mark 1 BV6 which has YPbPr ports behind a face plate on the back (just like the little plate that covers the cam. connections on a Avant). Thjis set does not yet have the HD upgrade done. I am wondering if the port will work or if they are just dummy ones? Under connections menu I only have two AV connections (scart), but then again the DVI port does not show up as a seperate connection either and that does work. I would like to know if the YPbPr will work as I would buy a component cable for my Wii.

The manual says it's only available on certian sets and is used for HD settop boxes.
