I agree with Alex, in this case I was answering the question while in no way endorsing the enterprise (I believe I was clear, if subtle )

I didn't think about going to a 7.2 system, or I would have suggested that. What I get for reading before the coffee kicks in!

I would set them up behind and central to the sofa on wall brackets (otherwise they'll be firing directly into the back of your sofa, which is next to useless). The two current rear BeoLab 6000s should be either side of the sofa, pointing inwards.

RussR's method would work, but I would never have to speakers playing the same channel in two different parts of the room. There are so many issues it could cause. On top of this, at a volume where the BeoLab 9s aren't even breaking a sweat, you could be pushing the BeoLab 6000 to breaking point without realising it. 100% not recommended in my books.

Hi Rolf,

Issues of sound quality and imaging aside, you ought to be able to make these work just fine. The first thing though is to daisy-chain the 2 BL-6000's each from the speaker it is supposed to 'mirror', and make certain that it is set to the same channel (Left or Right) as it's 'twin'. The potential problem is that the 'front' BeoLab 6000 will be getting a signal meant for the BeoLab 9, so you'll want to be careful with heavy bass.

This really isn't an ideal arrangement at all; ideally you would move the 6000's to another room, and use an Active kit to help spread the sound further throughout your home...but Caveat Experimentor! (Pardon the fake Latin)

BV9 Speaker role setup

Hello all, I have recently purchased new BL9 speakers and I would naturally like to make use of the BL6000 speakers that these have replaced. I have made a quick drawing of how my living room is setup. The BL6000's to the far left are currently not connected, but as you can see from the drawing these should ideally be defind as a second pair of Left Front and Left Back/Surround.

I have tried a couple of setups daisy chaining the speakers from the existing BL6000 speakers at the back of the room, but I cannot get the BV9/BS3 to accept double speaker roles in the same setup.

Is there any way to solve this including cabling all the way from the BV9/BS3 ?
