I agree that the updated 7 series and potentially the X6 seem likely. Are there any views or insights on these bets?

If this is true it could be that a new vesion of the 7 series is due soon. I heard from my dealer that the 5 series will not be all new until 2012. The 3's are new now. But the 7 would certainly seem to need a major overhall.

Good move imo - I think the two brands have a similar outlook on design and BMW/B&O may work better than Audi.

I can't imagine it will become common, they are just offering it to an elite maket. If indeed it is introduced into the BMW range, I would think that it will be limited to the higher end of that range and if we can use the Audi A8 as the reference point, not every one will opt for the £4000 optional music system. All that said it will be a superb move for B&O and hopefully introduce more people to the brand, the more the merrier I say.

Good for B&O and good for BMW. The only thing I "fear" is that B&O is about to become to "comon" and I don't know if this would be positive for the brands image...

COPENHAGEN, May 15 (Reuters) - Denmark's Bang & Olufsen (BOb.CO: Quote, Profile, Research said on Tuesday it had signed a deal with a European high-end car maker to develop and deliver its sound systems for several models of the manufacturer's portfolio.

The Danish firm, which already has a similar deal with German car maker Audi, said it would publish the identity of the new manufacturer no later than December 2007.

Bang & Olufsen offered no further details.
