I have two LX TV's and one of them has the same problem (although not as bad as the MX4000) and that TV is much older. The white banners do indeed make the picture jump and bend - without them it's not bad at all.

David

Re: MX4000 Bent graphics

I'm shooting from the hip with this, but I remember to have read that a weak power supply will expand the picture when it is very bright.

Martin (Die_bogener) is the expert here, but I would think it has to do with old capacitors that have dried up and gone bad. Probably the same thing that is causing your image to bend.

Re: MX4000 Bent graphics

Hi there

I got the same problem with my MX6000 mkII, a white banner in the bottom of the screen (often used on DR1 and 2) is always bent inwards. Also, then the lighting change (eg a flash at a news conference), the picture sort of jumps, expanding and then extracting again, all just in the flick of a monemt, but it can be anoying.

so, what can we do about this problem?

best regards

Christian

MX4000 Bent graphics

My MX4000 has problems with graphics on the lower part of the screen. I tried to improve this using the geometry settings but to no avail. The fault shows up best on the BBC news channel which has a stream and white banners etc. It is apalling to watch as the TV is unable to present these correctly. They appear to waiver and are bent outwards away from the screen centre. Any suggestions to remedy this?

David
