Was just noodling in my head there...just wanted to remind you of the issue. Now that I lookthough, you're right that there are really 10 channels available on the 'unlabeled' PowerLink sockets, so if you're using 4 in the mail room, that leaves 6 for the second room...the subwoofer is going to be the stumbling block I suspect.... But imagine if you told the BS-3 that the 'front' speakers were BeoLab 5's, running off of the same socket...but ran the PL cable to a BeoLab 2, and thence on to a pair of...well...whatever.... Hmmm.... To quote the Young Dr. Frankenstein: "It could WORK!!"

Great idea regarding the sub.. or one could just use two sets of Beolab 5s and thus need no sub LOL

I just had a look at the BS3 page on the B and O site. When the thread Trip mentions was ongoing the BS 3 page specifically said that it could be used to run two complete systems in different rooms. The text has now been changed to say two systems in one room.

Wish I had an extra $7,000 to spend to try it out, I have sufficient speakers, just need a BV4.

Although I really do not need to try it out, Trip says it will work and having looked at the guide thoroughly I see no reason it will not work.

On our BV7 we currently have the center speaker plus 4 speakers and a sub. In the on screen menu there are still 6 unused speaker assignments. Wouldn't it then be possible to have a full five speakers with a second panel? There does not however seem to be a way to connect a second sub for the second panel as subwoofer does not seem to be an option for all of the powerlinks.

Trip's use of the term 'full parallel' may cause some consternation here. Just keep in mind the number of PowerLink outputs available for the '2nd' system. Other than that, you'll be fine, but the system is either/or, not both at once.

The answer, as was explored in depth on Razlaw's thread a few months (maybe more recent) ago is actually yes. You can run a full parallel system in another room. Operation is simply either/or.

Anyone tried to use both DVI outputs for a panel?

I'm getting a BV9 but wondered if I could used a BV4 panel in the bedroom and used the BS3 Engine?

Or. . .Could I use another panel with the BV9 off of the BS3?

Anyone?

I know it's for a projector but why not?

Also, could you watch both panels at one time? I presume not. .
