The IR cable is an inexpensive item, and they regularly appear on eBay. Here is one.

As for the PIP, it is an optional extra, and I presume there will be a sticker on the back if it is fitted. If yours doesn't work, you probably haven't got one fitted.

Hi All. Just picked up a rather pretty black Avant 28 VHS, not a RF, but then for £150 with a fully ok Beo4 I am certainly not grumbling!

It has the module for surround installed, and the STB controller.

Questions then:

PiP.. doesn't seem to do anything when i follow the PiP instructions in the manual. I'm guessing the module isn't there. Is there an easy way to find out, and if not there, am I likely to find one for sale somewhere for less than a gigapound?

STB is fitted, and selected to Sky Digital, and pressing menu brings up the sky menu ok. However I don't have the IR sender/dongle thing to send the IR to my skybox. Is this a standard IR TX diode on a bit of wire, or is is more involved? Again, can I get one?

Hopefully simple questions, easily answered.
