But in recent days, a few did eventually default: the glass control panel of a Beocenter 9500 unglued, some pixels of a Beolink 5000 died, and I noticed foam rot in a pair of CX100. I recognise that nothing is eternal, so now I sadly expect more items to default. My biggest worry is a Beocenter 9500 CD-drive default, because spare parts are no longer available, but that is not the point here. My question actually is: should I ever expect foam rot in my 15-year old Beolab 8000 MkI? Is any service required from time to time?

Thank you for your advice, js
